Have you upped your liability insurance with your involvement ...

Just bought a house. Someone suggested upping the liability insurance due to the history of unstable BM, ROs, Police reports, skids being extremely immature/irresponsible and BM has no job or life so she is always searching. Now I have taken all the sane precautions: skids don't ever stay home alone in the house (House/title/insurance are all soley in MY name), skids are never outside unsupervised due to the busy road, no-brainer items are hidden (lighters, matches, chainsaw is at work. . .) from skids. All those little things that you can ease up on once kids get older, we are not easing up on our vigilence.

However, I will admit that I am terrified of BM2. SO keeps saying she is getting better but I think she is just in a 'pause'. She always has a 'pause' mode before the crazy starts again. I can just see skid getting hurt and her suing me. My liability is at 300K, is that enough for crazy? Should I see if I can get it increased?

I don't care if she withholds the kids, I care about a lawsuit. She has the track record for getting money where she can, even if she wrecks lives in the process. Sad
